ANA QUINTANA, SENIOR CONSULTANT

Ms. Quintana has 10 years of experience in public and private sector analytics and consultancy leading to measurable results in the implementation of methodologies, process engineering, and business solutions in the fields of risk management, finance, education, and policy creation. Ms. Quintana has strong analytical skills that make her an expert in using data to inform organizational decision-making. Her expertise in establishing performance management processes within organizations allows clients to monitor progress towards desired outcomes.

Currently, Ms. Quintana serves as a consultant to the SEED Foundation as a Business Project Manager engaged to implement a SchoolSTAT process in schools using student level data to improve teaching decisions and student performance. Additionally, Ms. Quintana has been working as a senior consultant and team-lead at the Office of Special Education (OSE) at the District of Columbia Public Schools System. This is an organizational transformation project and includes thorough organizational assessments, business process reengineering, functional reorganization, performance management development, strategic planning, and implementation of change. In her goal to transform the efficient delivery of effective education and related services for special education students she has developed metrics and indicators and implemented a process to monitor and improve organizational performance of business units within OSE; led the analysis, developed, modeled, implemented, and documented resulting recommendations in process re-engineering projects of multiple OSE business units; and coached senior leaders to manage their units in an efficient and effective manner.

Prior to UPD, Ms. Quintana worked for Carnegie Mellon University launching a dual degree program with Monterrey Technology Institute: Master in Science in Information Technology. Also, Ms. Quintana worked at the Mexican Institute of Competitiveness developing the international and regional competitiveness indices and publishing two reports used by national and international economic development stakeholders.

Ms. Quintana received her Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from Mexico's Autonomous Institute of technology, and her Masters of Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon University. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
