KARL SCHUMANN, CONSULTANT
For the last 12 years, Mr. Schumann has worked as an educator in the District of Columbia in a variety of settings and subject areas. Most recently, his focus on special education and data in charter schools propelled him into being responsible for school-wide training of teachers on using a new data system. He also led the school’s implementation of state and federal policy through the use of data to inform decisions and instruction. Currently, Mr. Schumann is a consultant to the District of Columbia Office of the State Superintendent of Education, and is responsible for implementing training, and developing business requirements for reports and ongoing system development.
Karl holds a Bachelor of Arts from The College of William and Mary, and a Masters in Education from George Washington University, with an active certification in Special Education.
