Patrick Cook

Mr. Cook is an expert in organizational behavior and analysis who specializes in finance, financial modeling, and process improvement. He helps clients to understand that organizations are all perfectly designed to deliver their current results, and that any desired change in those results requires some change of the organization. He currently specializes in finance, financial modeling, and process improvement.

Mr. Cook helped to establish a SchoolStat process with the Paterson (NJ) Public Schools aimed at improving organizational performance by transferring institutional knowledge and best practices across the organization. The Stat system uses data to inform decision-making, by measuring performance change at short intervals, and by implementing an accountability process that ties results to actions. Mr. Cook is currently working with a State Education Agency to identify and document policies and procedures, and to recommend areas for efficiency gains and performance improvement throughout the organization.

In addition to his work in the public sector, Mr. Cook also has a long history of starting and growing successful small businesses. He previoiusly served as CIO and CFO of Warfield-Dorsey Co., a medium sized commercial insurance and risk management brokerage firm. In those roles, he was responsible for reengineering the firm’s internal business processes and fiscal controls. Mr. Cook was also the founder and CEO of LCM Associates, a manufacturing company created in 1990 proving goods and services to the commercial construction industry. LCM grew to a $15 million company with 150 employees by 2002, making the Inc 500 Fastest Growing Company List in 1995. As CEO he was responsible for developing and implementing the organizational structures and business processes, as well as the company’s strategic and marketing plans. Prior to that, Mr. Cook was involved in development and construction in various segments of Baltimore’s urban renewal.

Mr. Cook’s undergraduate education was in Engineering and the Sciences. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Loyola University of Maryland and is a graduate of the Executive Education OPM Program at the Harvard Business School.
