Callie has over a decade of experience in education from the classroom to state to national levels, with a focus on policy development, implementation and advocacy. She currently serves as a Director of Strategic Partnerships, leading UPD’s education-related partnership cultivation and strategy with districts, states, foundations, and national non-profits.

Prior to joining UPD, Callie served in several leadership and management roles in non-profits focused on supporting states in the adoption of new academic standards and the development of aligned high-quality state assessment systems for elementary through high school students. At both Parcc Inc. and Achieve she led a number of initiatives including the development of national teacher and district leader networks to delivery professional learning at scale, partnerships with the two largest teachers’ unions in the country, policies and practices to facilitate K-12 and higher education collaboration in the areas of curriculum alignment and placement, a 100,000-student pilot of classroom-based diagnostic tools, as well as multiple national organization and foundation partnerships to develop teacher tools and resources.

Callie holds a Bachelor’s in East Asian Studies from Wittenberg University (OH) and a Master’s in Educational Policy and Leadership from the University of Maryland, College Park. Outside of work, she co-chairs on the board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, DC Region.
