Sarah is a team leader with a passion for equity, innovation, and human potential. She applies systems-thinking and user-centered approaches to create traction and build momentum in complicated and uncharted territory.
She has extensive experience and knowledge of the many facets and intricacies of both K-12 and higher education. Sarah has led engagements at the school district and state education agency level, including Petersburg Public Schools, VA; the Florida Department of Education, the Nevada Department of Education, and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
Before joining UPD Consulting, Sarah worked at the Rhode Island Department of Education, where she focused on modernizing the state’s approach to improving educator quality and accompanying data systems.
Sarah holds a Master of Arts in Urban Education Policy from Brown University, a Master of Science in Teaching from Pace University, and a Bachelors of Arts in Politics from Ithaca College.
